Make savings on a brand new car

The salary deduction car scheme

We have teamed up with Tusker to bring you the Salary Deduction Car Scheme, a new employee benefit which lets you drive away a brand new, fully-maintained and insured car for three years. You'll get a fully inclusive motoring package for a fixed monthly amount, so all you really need to worry about is fuel and oil.

So what does salary deduction mean?

Salary deduction is different from a standard company car scheme. With the Salary Deduction Car Scheme, you agree to give up part of your gross salary, due under your employment contract, in exchange for a non-cash benefit - in this case a brand new car.

Benefits of the scheme

  • Worry-free motoring: drive away a brand new car at a fixed monthly cost
  • A new car every three years
  • Fixed-cost, fully comprehensive motor insurance
  • One call number for all your vehicle needs
  • Excellent fleet and public sector discounts
  • No deposit or credit check
  • Offset your carbon emissions free of charge

How to create an account

Detailed FAQs, scheme information and quotations are available on the Tusker system, so please click on the Register button above and follow these 3 steps to login:

  • Step 1 - Click on Create Account (the system needs a small amount of information from you to be able to identify who you are, but don't worry, you are not committing yourself to an order at this stage!)
  • Step 2 - Enter your unique Company Code and your Employee ID Number (for your company code please see FAQ's below)
  • Step 3 - Once you've created an account, you'll just need to log on to the Tusker online system with the username and password you have created

Please note:

If you have any LGPS membership before 31/03/2014 and exchange part of your salary for a car in the three years before you leave the pension scheme in the future, resulting in a reduction in your salary, the reduced salary may also affect any protected final salary benefits you have accrued prior to 31/03/2014.
